This morning I came across this story and as I read it, my heart sank. It made me so angry and sick to my stomach to think of people taking advantage of those in need. Throughout the day, I couldn’t get the story out of my head. I kept thinking of the young girl that we sponsor through Compassion. What if something like this happened to her? I thought more about my post yesterday and wanted to share this idea that I came across shortly after writing it. I thought it was a great idea of something we can do here to make a difference and keep our hearts focused on those struggling in Haiti. I won’t repost it all, so check it out here. I’m going to make an effort to host a gathering like this in my home. I just wanted to share in case you were also looking for new ways to help.

What a fabulous idea. It is so sad everything going on there.
That’s such a great idea. Let me know how I can help you.
Yes.….It is very very very sad news.…..I wish I can help someway…
I’m ready to come over and pray, just let me know when. I just learned from my Compassion trainer that they raised $1.2 million the first day that they posted what happened. And that about 200 people in Haiti that are involved with Compassion have died so far that they know of. The project churches are holding the kids that have lost parents. We’ve also been asked to pray for mercy upon the people there as Christian Haitian citizens see how ungodly the country is and is needing to submit their lives to the Lord.
