Anticipation

Dear Inter­net,

It has been a rough week. I was watch­ing a Beth Moore video for my Esther bible study this week and she was talk­ing about her emo­tions. She said some­times it gets so bad that she has to sched­ule an emo­tional fit into her cal­en­dar. My mom and I of course were laugh­ing hys­ter­i­cally at the thought because we could relate. This was one of those weeks where I should have sched­uled one each day that way I wouldn’t have been so sur­prised when it showed up unin­vited. Life can be like that some­times — gotta take the good with the bad and keep press­ing on. Per­se­ver­ance pays off!

But you, you, have been so good to me. I’ve neglected you this week and yet you’ve still come to visit me, took a peek around, and left me sweet com­ments before head­ing off. (Well, at least some of you did!) But I’m thank­ful for the vis­its or the com­ments. The good thing is that hope­fully you are all antic­i­pat­ing what’s com­ing up next. It’s like a child star­ing at their birth­day cake through­out their party just wish­ing they could stick a fin­ger in the smooth, creamy icing to savor it’s sweet­ness. As a child you hated it, and maybe even as an adult, because we are so prone to instant grat­i­fi­ca­tion. But really think about the things you have to wait for. Wait­ing always makes them worth more. So I will entice your antic­i­pa­tion a lit­tle bit and leave you with a sneak peek of what is to come on Mon­day. I’m sorry; it does not come with white icing and rasp­berry fill­ing. Enjoy!
