The sky was different shades of gray with puffy dark clouds as we each made our way into the cars and took our spots. Inside we all felt similar to the way the sky looked — gray and moody. Our fun, adventurous week had come to an end like all things do. I’m not sure what we dreaded more — the 14 hour drive back to St. Louis or the fact that we would all be returning back to reality. Vacations do create this sense of fairytale land with no responsibilities, where waking up without an alarm clock and eating whatever your heart desires is absolutely acceptable. It’s nice to live like that for awhile, but we would be falling short if we accepted this for every day life — we were created for so much more. And we are now back to that so much more and I’m happy to be here. I am, as always, excited about what the future holds; I can’t help it, I’m an optimist. So talk to you soon! We’ve got some great stuff to share with you guys.

This picture was taken on our drive home by my niece Kyah or my nephew Ashton. They couldn’t remember who took it. But I think it represents our drive home well.
