As I made my way up the old staircase, butterflies filled my stomach. I couldn’t wait to see Kelly. How did she decide to style her hair? What does her makeup look like? Oh, I can’t wait to see her dress! Though photography is normally what gets a bride to knock on my door, when the big day finally comes, I feel like a girl eagerly waiting to see her best friend all dolled up for her wedding day.
I leaned my ear against the door and listened for voices inside. I knew it was Kelly’s room so I gently knocked and waited for the door to be opened. Slowly the door opened every so slightly and I still couldn’t see anyone. I stuck my head in with a big smile and my eyes darted around the room looking for the beautiful bride. My eyes finally connected with Kelly and she looked beautiful! She wasn’t even all the way ready and yet she looked stunning.
Kelly and Justin’s wedding day was as beautiful as she was. They were surrounded by the most important people in their lives and you could feel the love that was exuberating towards Kelly and Justin. I loved the rustic feel of Calistoga Inn — the chipped paint and the beautiful china. I loved how Kelly’s dress fit her like a glove and how Justin couldn’t stop smiling at his bride. I loved the fun and playful cocktails at the reception. Everything about their day was perfect.
Kelly and Justin — it was such a blast photographing a Mid-West couple in the beautiful California landscape. It was like having the best of both worlds. Congratulations again on your new home and I know it will be full of love and happiness with the two of you in it. I hope your marriage is filled with extra amounts of laughter and that you cherish one another forever.

This is the way they looked at each other all day. You could see on both of their faces just how happy they were to be husband and wife.
