I am thrilled that Megan and Brad decided to document the 4 major phases of their daughter’s first year of life – 3 mos, 6 mos, 9 mos, and 12 mos. Each time we see Charlotte to photograph her life, I can see so many changes that have occurred. Here are the images from Charlotte’s 3 month session. Below you will see her at 6 months; take note of the new things you’ll see. She has two teeth, likes to suck on her toes, and likes to put anything in her mouth for that matter. She’s more alert, has many new facial expressions, and loves to laugh. There are so many ways she has grown and it feels great to be a part of documenting her life.

Megan and Brad – It is amazing to watch your daughter grow and change. As I look at her face, her smiles, her expressions – I’m constantly looking to see if I see Megan or Brad. She is a beautiful blend of the two of you and I just want to thank you again for giving us the opportunity to photograph her.

Starting things off with one of my top favorites from the session.

I wish I could post every single picture from this series on the chair. She had so many expressions that just melted my heart. But below are the best of the best!

Charlotte: “Can you look at the camera and smile please — I’m trying to take a picture here!” Vitaliy and Candace: “Yes, ma’am.”

Father/Daughter moments are always so sweet to me.

So did her toes! I’m working on being able to do this move in my yoga class. You go Charlotte!

Yup, these are the favorites for me — the warm light, the soft baby skin, those gorgeous eyes — that’ll do it!

Watch out Brad! I’m sure all you moms are familiar with the drooling phase.

Anyhoo, little Edie, as she goes by, is just so sweet and adorable that we had the best time photographing her. There were many times I wanted to run over and squeeze her little baby chubbies, but I knew I might get scolded by Vitaliy for ruining the shot. So I refrained. We also couldn’t resist photographing Edie’s brothers and sister again so you’ll see some of those as well.

Brad and Megan chose the Newborn Collection for baby Charlotte. This Collection includes four mini-sessions — 3 mos, 6 mos, 9 mos, and finally her 1st birthday! A baby grows so fast and you don’t want to miss out on any of the stages of their growth. For the first session, we chose to keep it very natural. Megan and Brad wanted to document their every day life with Charlotte at home. I couldn’t have been more excited about that! I love capturing the natural happenings of life.

Brad and Megan — I had the hardest time narrowing down your images from this session. I’m thrilled to think we get to do this 3 more times! Charlotte is absolutely adorable. Thank you for allowing us to come into your home and document such intimate moments between the three of you. We are truly blessed to be a part of capturing Charlotte’s first year of life. Hope you enjoy these as much as we have.

Charlotte is a natural in front of the camera like her mommy!

This is a Vitaliy favorite; he couldn’t stop talking about it. I personally love her eyebrows in this one. I just wonder what’s going through her mind.

We changed rooms and wardrobe. Megan did a great job at planning ahead and picking out super cute outfits. It makes all the difference for the pictures.

My favorite from the session. We actually bought a studio sample of this — a 16x24 Gallery Wrapped Canvas with Floating Frame. It’s a new product we’re offering and I love it!

I could write an entire post on this image all about the importance of a father’s love. How blessed is Charlotte!

I love this moment. It all started with their love for each other.

Ok, well technically, this did rival for Vitaliy’s favorite. He insisted it go on the blog and I agreed because it really does help document Charlotte at 3 months old. I’m sure you will remember this stage well. Love it!

Winston was so much fun to photograph — we got a great workout during this session. Hope you all enjoy and I hope to get to photograph many new dogs in our future. Since Vitaliy won’t let me have a doggie, photographing them will have to suffice.

This is Caleb’s beautiful sister Lauren.

And the oldest Rachel. She’s another beauty, isn’t she?

I love the colors they chose to wear for this shoot. I’m always amazed at how well our clients do with coordinating their outfits for the sessions. I love the cool, California summer feel the clothes bring to the images. Taking the time to really plan and think through what to wear can really pay off for your pictures.

Meet Claire — I just have to squeeze her every time I see her!

I’m sure you won’t be surprised to know, she is a daddy’s girl.

Meet Luke — seriously, this is one of my favorite pics from the day. He’s such a little man. I love the action in this picture and how it shows where he’s at in age — buttoning his own jacket now.

And of course, there is big brother Jake. He is such a good big brother and really takes care of the other two. (And now three!)
