It’s Christmas Eve which means that tomorrow is Christmas. Yes, I know that is what Eve means but I have to say it. Tomorrow is Christmas! Tomorrow is Christmas! Oh, that reminds me, I need to go enter my Pioneer Woman Christmas Giveaway and check if I won anything from yesterday. BRB (Be Right Back!)
Ugh. Nope, I won nothing. I never win anything. I just re-entered and probably shouldn’t be telling you about this since it lowers my odds. But Santa is watching so I better share! I don’t want him not to show up tonight. I even baked cookies to leave out for him. Unfortunately, I ate half of them already so my belly is going to look as big as his. I better not sneak out in the middle of the night to check on my stocking, cause if Vitaliy wakes up, he might confuse me for Santa. Seriously folks, cookies do not do a body good.
On another note, I just want to tell you how excited I am for Christmas! Yes, I’m excited for all the gifts, food, and fun times that will be had. However, more importantly, I’m trying to stay focused on the real reason for Christmas. It is this truth that gives me hope. And without hope, I’m not sure I could survive this life. Knowing that God Himself came down to Earth to live and to die for me is what gives me hope, gives me joy, and gives me life. Tomorrow is the day we celebrate the birth of Jesus, the life of Jesus! He is truly my gift. Out of all the Christmases and all of the birthdays, I have never received a greater gift in my entire life than the day that I received Jesus into my life and accepted the sweet gift of His grace and forgiveness. That is what I’m celebrating! That is what it’s all about! Merry Christmas Eve everyone!
