Family Session Giveaway: The Winner

First off, I want to thank all of you for your sweet comments and messages that you sent regarding this post. When I came up with the idea to share our story and do a giveaway, I didn’t really think past that. I really just wanted to share our story. Each one of us has a life story scripted by God Himself and if we are willing to share those stories, we have the ability to make a connection with another person. As we get to know each other, we realize that our stories can help and encourage others, if only we are willing to share them. So I am happy if our story resonated with you in some way.

My other purpose in the post was to give to someone. Vitaliy and I have been so blessed in our life that it only inspires us to want to give to others too. And that is exactly what we’re going to do. So without making you wait any longer (some of you have been so impatient!), the winner of the Family Session Giveaway is The Segerblom Family!

Here is the story that their dear friend Jennifer sent me.

I believe they deserve it due to what all of them have been going  through the past three years.  Within a year of Adrienne’s mom passing away, she had her first boy, Dominic, who was a miracle baby!  During the whole pregnancy, they knew that Dominic had an enlarged bladder and could not urinate on his own, which is still the case today.    It has been amazing to watch the humor and faith and positive attitude this family has had in the midst of not only knowing if Dominic would even make it in the womb and out of the womb, but also in the midst of endless hours of tube feeding Dominic through his arm and catheterizing him numerous times a day and draining the tube that is located above his tummy.  It’s a rare and confusing disease and many do not survive.  This family’s 2nd home is the hospital.  Dominic still has to be hospitalized every time he gets a fever because it could mean he has an infection from the tube in his tummy and arm.  He used to vomit on a weekly or monthly basis and has to be hospitalized each time.  He is such a trooper though!

Dear Adrienne, Scott, Dominic and Max — Vitaily and I are really looking forward to meeting you all. Though we cannot change your situation, we hope to give you a very fun experience and document the love your family shares. We are thrilled to feature your story in hopes that it too would inspire others. It has truly inspired us! We’ll be in touch soon!

Jennifer, to thank you for taking the time out to nominate your friends, you win a $20 gift card to Vanilla Moon! Vanilla Moon is so yummy it will surely need to be featured on the blog soon.
