Happy One Year!

January marks the 1 Year Anniver­sary of Prokopets Stu­dio. It is unbe­liev­able to think how far we’ve come since Prokopets Stu­dio was just a thought back in Decem­ber of 2007. That was the month I sent Vitaliy to his first pho­tog­ra­phy work­shop and it was the same month that we real­ized we wanted to take this jour­ney of build­ing our very own pho­tog­ra­phy busi­ness together. We spent the entire next year brain­storm­ing. Vitaliy started work­ing for another pho­tog­ra­pher to assist and learn. We chose a name with help of friends and fam­ily and we spent the entire month of Decem­ber ’08 shoot­ing for free to gain expe­ri­ence and build a port­fo­lio. All of this pre­pared us to offi­cially launch our busi­ness in Jan­u­ary of 2009.

It has now been exactly 1 year from that launch­ing point and I have already learned so much dur­ing this time. I could write an entire post remark­ing what I’ve learned this first year that would keep your scrolling for so long it might con­tribute to an onset of carpal tun­nel. To pre­vent that from hap­pen­ing, I’ll keep this short and sweet for you. I’ll share with you one of the most impor­tant things I’ve learned this year — our busi­ness is what it is today because of YOU. You’re the one that raves about your pic­tures to your friends and fam­ily. You’re the one that sends encour­ag­ing emails that keep us going on those dif­fi­cult days that come when you’re build­ing a busi­ness from scratch. You’re the one that con­tin­u­ally vis­its our blog and leaves sweet com­ments or invites oth­ers to join in the fun.

I want to cel­e­brate this 1 Year Anniver­sary with each one of our blog read­ers and each one of our clients. There is no way we’d still be here today embark­ing on our 2nd year in busi­ness if it wasn’t for you. Thank you for help­ing us build our foun­da­tion. Thank you for giv­ing us the oppor­tu­nity to serve you and cre­ate beau­ti­ful mem­o­ries for you to have for a life­time. It is because of you that we get to do what we love. So thank you. Thank you, thank you! We look for­ward to serv­ing you in the next year!
