Happy Thanksgiving

I love Thanksgiving because it is the one day that causes people to stop and realize all the reasons they have to be thankful. If everyone had this mentality on a regular basis, I think the world would look very different. Vitaliy and I have so much to be thankful for. The Lord has blessed us beyond belief and we want to give Him all the honor and glory He deserves. Yesterday was another blessing we can add to the list. We were surrounded by friends, family, and great food. It doesn’t get better than that.

We want to thank all of you out there for your encouraging words about our photography. It is a huge challenge to start something from scratch but your support keeps us pushing forward. Thank you for your friendship and know that we can’t do this without each of you.

I’d love to know what you are thankful for this year. Send me a note in the comments below.

.

We are house sitting for one of Leska’s teachers and they have the most beautiful home. We couldn’t be more thankful to have this opportunity to celebrate Thanksgiving there. Our cousins visited us from Sacramento. Here is their little boy Joe with the homeowner’s amazing dog Callie. I love this picture!

One of our favorite things about this house is the trampoline. This is Joe’s dad and Vitaliy’s cousin Roman.

And here is the man himself! Yes, I married this guy but now you can see why I have so much fun. I wish you all could hear my hysterical laughing right now.

After all the craziness, we had to get down to business; we had cookin’ to do. Not only is he fun but he can cook too. This was Vitaliy’s stuffing recipe that he cooked in the pumpkin. It was a big hit!

One of my favorite things to do is decorate the table. I wish it was still light out when we took this so you could see the amazing view out these windows.

We had the best company to celebrate with. Here we have Awan who is a Lost Boy from Sudan and a dear friend, me, Leska (Vitaliy’s sister), Vitaliy, Inna and Roman with their adorable son Joe.

The last picture of the day. As you can see we had more visitors. These are more of Vitaliy’s cousins from Sacramento — Anna, Natalia, Gabriel, and Alex. Thank you everyone for giving us a wonderful Thanksgiving. We had such a great day with each of you.

Oh yeah, and what am I thankful for? This verse sums it up…
“I thank my God upon every remembrance of you, always in every prayer of mine for you all making request with joy, for your fellowship in the gospel from the first day until now; being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ” (Philippians 1:3–6)
