Matt & Laura: I Do

Matt was sur­rounded by his clos­est friends as he pre­pared for his big day. Laugh­ter and jokes filled the air as the boys made the adjust­ments to their ties and but­toned up their vests. Matt got dressed in the room that he grew up in as a boy. The walls and shelves were filled with mem­o­ra­bilia that defined Matt up until this point. As soon as he walked out of his bed­room door that day, he stepped into a whole new phase of life that would from this day for­ward include his lovely bride Laura.

Laura was get­ting ready at the beau­ti­ful Oceano Hotel and Spa in Half Moon Bay. As she descended down the hall­way with her curls flip­ping in the air, she was escorted by her clos­est girl­friends. You could see the hap­pi­ness in her eyes and it was con­firmed with her smile. Laura looked absolutely stun­ning and she hadn’t even put on her dress yet. Her sis­ter Kim helped her slip into her gor­geous gown as her friends stood watch­ing — their faces filled with smiles, tears, and pure hap­pi­ness for their friend’s spe­cial day. As soon as she was dressed, Laura was eager to see her hand­some groom. She didn’t want to wait another minute before reveal­ing her­self to Matt.

Laura leaned around the cor­ner to steal a peek of Matt wait­ing for her. As the two met eye to eye for their First Look, their faces beamed with joy and love. Today was finally the day! Matt and Laura were going to become hus­band and wife and you could see that both couldn’t be more thrilled about it. Any anx­i­ety or pres­sure that may have been was washed away the minute they embraced each other. That is the beauty of the First Look — you get to have inti­mate time alone to really bathe in the moment and take each step of the day from that point on together. Not to men­tion, it gives you so much time to get beau­ti­ful pic­tures with us! And boy did it pay off!

Matt and Laura, you are absolutely meant for each other. You are two of the kind­est peo­ple we’ve met and both of your smiles are com­pletely con­ta­gious. Your wed­ding was filled with beauty from begin­ning to end and we are hon­ored to be a part of it. Thank you for not only being our clients, but for call­ing us friends. We are still look­ing for­ward to that movie night at your cute apart­ment. So don’t let us down on that one! May your mar­riage be filled with laugh­ter each day. Love, Vitaliy and Candace.

I just love this moment.

Are these incred­i­ble or what? Yes, they are inspired by the mag­i­cal ruby red slip­pers from Wiz­ard of Oz. But I don’t think Laura planned on doing any click­ing of the heels on this day. She was right where she wanted to be.

I think Vitaliy could have pho­tographed Laura in this loca­tion all day. He was lovin’ it! And she was workin’ it!

Matt tried to avoid it, but he just couldn’t, the cam­era loved him.

And Laura just con­tin­ued to work it all day!

We then headed over to the gor­geous Hast­ings House for the cer­e­mony. This pic­ture on the left below is one of my favorites from the day. But if you knew how many times I’ve seen Father of the Bride, you might under­stand why.

Matt and Laura really have great friends. Vitaliy and I had a blast with this wed­ding party and come on peo­ple, they rocked this photo out!

We snuck away from the recep­tion at Cetrella to head down for a few sun­set pic­tures at the beach. It was pretty foggy but that did not stop us from hav­ing a blast and cap­tur­ing some great moments!
