Matt & Laura: I Will

I had gone back and forth with Laura try­ing to fig­ure out a loca­tion to take her engage­ment pic­tures with Matt. Then one week­end we took a trip down to Wilder Ranch. As I walked past the old cot­tage and con­tin­ued on the wind­ing path to the barn, romance filled the air and my heart. Imme­di­ately, my thoughts turned to Matt and Laura. This was it! This was the per­fect place to cap­ture a true love story like Matt and Laura’s. The only prob­lem was that not every­one has the same affec­tion for an old ranch with chipped paint. So we took a few pho­tos and I emailed them later that night to throw it out there. It would be a long drive but I knew it would be so perfect.

I’m not sure if they have the same love for chipped paint, but they def­i­nitely liked the loca­tion and that was enough for me. After get­ting to know Matt and Laura, it’s no sur­prise to me that they would be will­ing to take a lit­tle risk. They are totally up for any adven­ture. Com­pletely full of life. They hopped in the car with two strangers, drove almost an hour away, and gave there all for their engage­ment ses­sion. We always tell our clients the more you give to your ses­sion, the more you will get out of it. Matt & Laura are proof of this. They were will­ing to trust us, be vul­ner­a­ble with us, and they have beau­ti­ful images as a result.

Matt and Laura — every time we are with you, we have a blast! Look­ing through your images and prepar­ing this post, made us even more excited about pho­tograph­ing your wed­ding in July. Laura, if you are this beau­ti­ful in a shirt and jeans, I can­not even begin to imag­ine how beau­ti­ful you are going to be in your wed­ding dress. I can’t wait!

We started things off in the barn.

It didn’t take long for the romance to kick in. Wilder Ranch will do that to you. But when you’re as in love as Matt and Laura, you can find romance just about anywhere.

Then we went out­side for a lit­tle bit of fun!

I just love this series. You can say so much in just one look.

One of my favorite images from the day. This is a cat from the ranch. He just hopped up there right in the mid­dle of our pic­ture tak­ing and it was per­fect! I love how Vitaliy cropped it. I love Laura’s hair blow­ing in her face. I love Matt’s pas­sion in his eyes. Do you want me to go on?

This blue door stole my heart…and the chipped paint! Put an amaz­ing cou­ple in front and you have perfection.
