One week from today, we will be photographing the beautiful wedding of Julie and DJay. These are two very special people who I know the Lord put together for a very special purpose. Julie and her mom were there for Vitaliy and I through a very difficult time in our life. They truly held us up and carried us along during times when it was difficult to stand or keep our balance. They became family to us. I was recently thinking back over the time line of our relationship with them and I am utterly amazed how God orchestrates relationships and uses people to accomplish His will. There were so many phone calls, emails or hugs from these two that I am assured their source was from the Lord. He has used people in my life time and time again to speak of His love, faithfulness, and provision to me. These were two such people used by the Lord in mighty ways in our life so I hope I can hold back my tears (yeah, right!) next Saturday as I witness and document a wonderful turning point in their lives.
Thinking about our trip next week, my heart begins to flutter at the thought of seeing all of my favorite places in St. Louis. There are so many locations that I miss — Forest Park, Central West End, Lafayette Square, The Loop. And let me just tell you, there are definitely not enough hours in the day to fit in a meal at each of my favorite restaurants while I’m there — Steak-N-Shake, Mom’s Deli, Brio, and Ted Drews. Yes, there is nothing wrong with eating a meal at Ted Drews. It’s easy to get reminiscing about memories at these places or fun things to do there. And that’s when it hit me…we’ve never photographed in St. Louis! I’m thrilled that our camera is bringing us to St. Louis and we’ll have an entire day with Julie and DJay introducing our love — the camera, to my old love affair — St. Louis. I have no doubt the two will meet and you just might see early fireworks across the beautiful St. Louis skyline.
With that being said, we also want to photograph you or maybe you know someone who we should photograph. Obviously, Saturday is set aside and completely devoted to Julie and DJay. However, we added on a few days to our trip to fit in a few portrait sessions and of course to fit in a few more meals at my favorite restaurants. One of which is not even a restaurant, but my dad’s BBQ! Anyway, here are the dates and times we have available for engagement shoots, family portraits, or “just because” sessions — because you don’t have to have a reason to document life and love! If you are interested, send me an email or fill out the form, and I’ll send you the details. Now I’m even more excited to come; hope I’ll be able to sleep this week.

Candace, this post made me cry! You will never know how special it is to me that you and V will be the ones taking Julie and D. Jay’s pictures. You were also there for us during our difficult time, and I will never forget it. God has richly blessed me because of you; you continue to be such a blessing. I love you and your family so much. Being with you is one of many things I am excited about this week!
Next time you see your momma, give her a big hug for me!
Love you!
Lois
Geez, now you both have me crying! I am so sorry I can not make the wedding and a trip to the Lou but you are all in my heart.
Candace, I just emailed Richard and Grace about food in STL !!
