Mother’s Day: Giveaway

Calling all dia­per chang­ers or friends of dia­per chang­ers! Mother’s Day is com­ing up and we want to honor one spe­cial woman. Maybe you are just that woman or maybe you know the per­fect per­son to nom­i­nate. I am not a mother yet so I can­not state with author­ity how dif­fi­cult the task of being a mother is. How­ever, I know many women who are moth­ers and have seen glimpses of the weight of the respon­si­bil­ity as well as the joy and reward that is inter­twined. Think­ing back over all that I put my own mother through makes me have even more respect for all of you moms out there. You all have so much to deal with and yet your love is unwa­ver­ing. That is why we want to honor you — to give you some­thing spe­cial and to say thank you for all that you do.

We are look­ing for a mom who is not just tired of chang­ing dia­pers or dri­ving car­pools but a mom who really has had a dif­fi­cult year or even few years. Maybe she is a sin­gle mom try­ing to carry the weight of it all on her own. Or maybe she’s a woman who has had one of those life expe­ri­ences hap­pen that has left her sim­ply try­ing to stay above water. Yet she car­ries all that on her shoul­ders fig­u­ra­tively while car­ry­ing her chil­dren lit­er­ally on the same back. It’s a lot to hold up. She is the kind of per­son who knows that she is this woman I’m speak­ing of but jus­ti­fies her feel­ings by always think­ing there is some­one else out there who has it worse or by con­vinc­ing her­self that every­thing is okay.

Here is a sneak peek of a recent ses­sion we did. This image is absolutely cap­ti­vat­ing! It is the per­fect por­trayal of the bond between a mother and her child. I was amazed at how baby Char­lotte is look­ing so con­fi­dently into the cam­era. I can only assume she knew she was absolutely secure in the arms of her mother. And the ten­der expres­sion on Megan’s face says it all.
