New In Town

Gone are the days of When Harry Met Sally or My Big Fat Greek Wedding. I honestly cannot remember the last time I saw a Romantic Comedy in theaters that I didn’t walk away feeling like I just wasted $10. It seems these days Romantic Comedies  are just full of getting trashed and hooking up. Take for example the recent What Happens in Vegas. I have been ashamed lately to even say this is my favorite category of movie. I am constantly giving Vitaliy a hard time for not taking me out to Romantic Comedies any more like he used to when we were dating. But when I stop to think about it, it’s because there aren’t any worth wasting our money on. Oh how I long for the day to curl up to my hunk of burnin’ love (named Vitaliy), squeeze in tight, lean my head on his shoulder and be spoiled with laughter and romance on the Big Screen. That is of course once I’m done with my bag of popcorn and Peanut M&Ms. But there has been a drought in the land of Romance and Laughter.

Until I walked into the theater to see New In Town. I did have high hopes for this film because it was the first of its kind in a long while. I don’t appreciate that it takes all the way to Valentine’s season to make a film like this, but I’ll take what I can get. However, I had no idea what I was in store for. Luckily, I wasn’t the only one laughing out loud otherwise they might have kicked me out. I’m the type that likes to laugh louder than loud because it makes whatever is funny even funnier. But the whole place was in an uproar for the entire movie. Each character is unique in their own way and has so much to offer to the audience. Not to mention it is clean. There will be no shame in your game when you see this one.

I could go on but I’ll leave it there. Definitely go see this one. If you are a guy out there that totally despises Romantic Comedies, I promise this is one you can live through for your girl this Valentine’s. This is perfect for a date or a girl’s night out. I went for the girl’s night out with my mom and sister-in-law. But as soon as my Squeeze Machine gets back in town you better believe I’m going back for a second round of laughs, popcorn, and cuddling.

I totally agree with you Candace. This is the best romantic comedy I’ve seen in years. Vitaliy you will enjoy this one. Plus, she wears fabulous shoes throughout the entire movie!!

Thanks for the tip! We haven’t been out to a movie in years, and I think I know what to ask for for Valentine’s Day this year! :-)
