Peter the Birthday Boy

When I first met Peter, I’m sure he had a book in his hand; he always does. I really didn’t know what to think of him at first. I’m sure he felt quite the same about me. Some­how I am sure he felt the same way my hus­band felt the first time he met me, “That girl is crazy!” I think there are days that Peter still feels the same. Thank­fully, he was open minded. The more I got to know Vitaliy while we were dat­ing, the more I got to know Peter. Peter was and is Vitaliy’s best friend. The old say­ing, “You can’t judge a book by it’s cover,” is def­i­nitely true for Peter. On the out­side Peter seemed like this smart book­worm who only wanted to talk the­ol­ogy. Which he was. But he turned out to be so much more. He is one HILARIOUS book­worm. You can­not be with Peter and not spend a major­ity of the time crack­ing up. After my hus­band, Peter is the most qual­ity guy I have ever met. He is the most loyal friend a per­son could ask for. His love is deep and inten­tional. He has been by our side through the most dif­fi­cult times in our life. He is all of these things because Peter has a respect and ded­i­ca­tion to God’s Word. His desire to be a godly man makes him a cut above the rest.

Peter, we want to wish you the hap­pi­est birth­day ever. We wish we were there to give you a big hug and eat most of your birth­day cake but this lit­tle blog post will have to suf­fice. Thank you for your friend­ship over the years. We love you.

Peter is no longer just Peter. He is now Peter + Kris. And we couldn’t be more excited. Peter pro­posed a few weeks ago and it is the best story. Con­grat­u­la­tions guys! Kris, wel­come to the fam­ily. Here are a few pics we took last sum­mer when they came to visit.
