When I first met Peter, I’m sure he had a book in his hand; he always does. I really didn’t know what to think of him at first. I’m sure he felt quite the same about me. Somehow I am sure he felt the same way my husband felt the first time he met me, “That girl is crazy!” I think there are days that Peter still feels the same. Thankfully, he was open minded. The more I got to know Vitaliy while we were dating, the more I got to know Peter. Peter was and is Vitaliy’s best friend. The old saying, “You can’t judge a book by it’s cover,” is definitely true for Peter. On the outside Peter seemed like this smart bookworm who only wanted to talk theology. Which he was. But he turned out to be so much more. He is one HILARIOUS bookworm. You cannot be with Peter and not spend a majority of the time cracking up. After my husband, Peter is the most quality guy I have ever met. He is the most loyal friend a person could ask for. His love is deep and intentional. He has been by our side through the most difficult times in our life. He is all of these things because Peter has a respect and dedication to God’s Word. His desire to be a godly man makes him a cut above the rest.
Peter, we want to wish you the happiest birthday ever. We wish we were there to give you a big hug and eat most of your birthday cake but this little blog post will have to suffice. Thank you for your friendship over the years. We love you.

Peter is no longer just Peter. He is now Peter + Kris. And we couldn’t be more excited. Peter proposed a few weeks ago and it is the best story. Congratulations guys! Kris, welcome to the family. Here are a few pics we took last summer when they came to visit.

This is how most people are in Peter’s presence.

Isn’t she beautiful?

We couldn’t make a post regarding Peter if it didn’t include something about his favorite hamburger joint. We have the same passion for this wonderful place.

You guys are the best. Thanks so much for my birthday present.
And these pictures are great. They still don’t do Kris justice, but they’re as close as you can get with a camera.
But I do love books. I was just thinking about when I came out for those two weeks before your wedding. Do you remember how many books I brought with me? I don’t either. But I think I left with even more than I came.
And that reminds me of something Kris said to me the night I asked her out on our first date. After professing my unrelenting affection for her, she blushed and said, “I didn’t think you really liked girls. I thought you were so into your books that you didn’t even notice them.” I laughed so hard because she was so right. (Well, almost.)
These are great guys!
