When Laura contacted me, I was so excited because she wanted pictures taken and she wanted them taken for no reason, just because. There was no special occasion. No anniversary. No special engagement. She loves her husband and wanted to give him pictures of the two most important people in his life — his wife and his daughter. How romantic and loving is that!?! This is exactly why we call this category of our photography “just because” because you don’t have to have a special reason to have professional pictures taken. Life and love is reason enough.
I was extra delighted about this session because it’s a mother/daughter portrait session. I’m very close with my mother so I was excited to have the opportunity to document the unique love and relationship between a mother and a daughter. Laura and Jessica’s interaction was no disappointment. Their genuine love and respect for each other was evident to the eye and the lens. They loved to laugh together. And I truly admired Jessica’s willingness to express her love towards her mother in front of others. It seems that teenagers these days are ashamed to do this and it’s so sad to me. Their vulnerability as women in front of a camera was absolutely breathtaking. These are two generations of two beautiful women.
Laura and Jessica, it was an absolute pleasure to meet you and to photograph you. We thoroughly enjoyed every minute watching you two together. Thank you for the honor!

These are gorgeous! This is one lucky fella! I love the one with them sitting on the little bridge. They are so relaxed and look so comfortable together in all the shots. You can definitely see the love between mother and daughter. I must run and have pictures taken with my daughter. I know just the photog I want to use;)

great black and white shots … straight from the camera or photoshop? If PS, were they actions you used? I’m always frustrated by the look of BW shots I produce.
GORGEOUS — as usual!

Good for Laura’s husband, daughter, and Laura herself. Now they have photos that they will cherish forever. Good job capturing their “LOVE”, Vitaliy & Candace! I especially like #10. I also LOVE the photo of you two from “Our 25 randoms”!
