The Beauty of True Love

The concept of love is something that almost every movie capitalizes on. There is almost always a male and a female lead who begin as acquaintances, or friends (or even enemies in some cases), but ultimately fall in love with each other. Just about every movie incorporates love into their plot, simply because it is something that universally everyone wants to see unfold.

True love in theory is something that happens only once in a lifetime. That is part of what makes it so beautiful. People spend much of their lifetimes looking for love, going on dates and more often than not coming up short when it comes to finding your true love. However once they find that person, it is the most beautiful thing in the world. They are totally in love and fully committed to one another, and in many cases, they end up marrying and being together until death do them part.

And while the search for true love is typically idealized as something that young people find before growing old, finding the one they love to get married and raise a family in the traditional sense, so often is true love found in unconventional methods, and that is just as beautiful too.

Sometimes, people get married and divorced multiple times before ultimately finding their one true love, at which point they may already be close to retiring or already retired for that matter. And sometimes people stay single for most of their adult lives before finding someone right as they are giving up on love itself. In all cases, finding that true love is so satisfying to witness.

Another thing that makes true love so beautiful is that it has no boundaries. Men can love other men if that is who they truly love. People of one ethnicity can love people of an entirely different ethnicity. And love can even exist between two people who are years apart in age (although it is important to be on the lookout for when the younger partner is simply looking out for their financial wellbeing by being with an older man or woman).

When I think of this boundless love, I can’t stop thinking about Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra, the couple that just recently married in India in December 2018. Not only is Nick Caucasian while Priyanka is Indian, but there is a 10 year age gap between the two of them, and despite all of those difference, they truly appear to be madly in love with each other. It is such a beautiful thing to see. And best of all is knowing that for every “power couple” in the spotlight, there are hundreds of other couples around the world who have the same type of love that Nick and Priyanka have that while aren’t quite as visible to the public eye, are just as powerful and meaningful.

In the end, love is what makes the world go round. Seeing true love blossom is something that will never get old, especially if you have experienced true love for yourself in your lifetime.
